Recurrent Surge Oscilloscope (RSO) testing is used to assess the condition of rotor and stator windings by observing repetitive surge waveforms. This method can detect imbalances, short circuits between windings, or internal insulation damage. Differences in waveforms between phases indicate anomalies in the windings. With RSO, potential damage can be detected early so repairs can be planned promptly.
